Hurricane Irma Relief

On behalf of Lehigh Chamber of Commerce we would like to thank a few people that made last week's community outreach from Healthy Harvest Community Farms and Lehigh Chamber a huge success. We were able to help over 200 people because of some amazing individuals in the community. Lucia Bonsanto (Mama Lu) and the Power House of Love for supplying Pallets of Lettuce, Broccoli, Peppers, Onions, Water, Vitamin water, toiletries and much much more. Tiffany Ward and Amber Ward Haines from Blue Star Seafood Whole sale only, who not only supplied cases of Grouper, Tilapia and amazing Shrimp, but also supplied a truck for transportation. A thank you to Jeff Odone and his father for volunteering and distributing supplies for Hurricane Irma relief. Katy Hoover with L.A. Insurance and Ed Moore with Red Sneakers Mobile Marketing & Communication who both pulled double duty as Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce Board Members, and Healthy Harvest Community Farms Board Members. They were amazing in getting the word out and stepping in to assist everyone in need. Gary Dittman who prepared all the food from the beginning, and Katy Hoover with the clean-up all the way to the end. David Deetscreek, Rick Jacobs, Dominick and the staff from Mirror Lakes Golf Club who supplied grills, the clubhouse, labor and a variety of other items to make it possible. Karen Allegretti who encouraged others to go forth divide and conquer while she took care of other families and moved the pets back home. Finally, Jason Spengler came out and volunteered as he has many times over the years. This Outreach event was a community effort and showed the best of who we are. Thank you all very much and we hope to do it again soon. We will keep you posted. If you would like to support the relief efforts financially please login to
