Unsung Heroes

I realize there are all kinds of horrible stories out there about Irma. While those will get covered by Social Media to the 'enth' degree, we need to hear about the Local Heroes. In this time of great need, we need to share the stories about someone who 'helped' you, someone who made your day brighter in this stressful time.

A good example comes to mind. A couple of days before Irma hit, I was at Publix, looking for water. I had just finished working out at Around the Clock Fitness and someone told me the Publix next door had water. I went in and was looking all around for it, could not find it. I saw a lady that had 2 cases and asked her where she found it. She said there was a palette of it when you first came in, but was certain there was no more as it was gone in a matter of seconds. I thanked her and she did the unexpected... she OFFERED to share her water with me!

I declined and thanked her for offering to share... I have to tell you, that moved me. This lady was gathering supplies to take care of her family, yet offered to share with a total stranger. How many people would do that, I wondered?

This is the kind of thing I want to hear about... the unsung heroes. LET'S SHARE THE GOOD that is happening across Florida, we ALL need to hear it, we all need to feel it.

What kindness has happened to you through all this?
